SitRep Services helps identify private utilities, unknown lines, subsurface
obstacles, and site risks before you disturb the ground or concrete.
Private Utility Locating
Locate private and customer-owned utilities that 811 may not mark, including power, gas, water, sewer, communications, irrigation, drainage, and unknown site utilities.
GPR Locating
Use ground penetrating radar to help detect non-metallic utilities, buried structures, voids, tanks, drainage features, and other subsurface anomalies where site conditions allow.
Concrete Scanning
Scan concrete before cutting, coring, drilling, or anchoring to help identify rebar, conduits, post-tension cables, and embedded hazards in slabs, walls, and structural areas.
Utility Mapping
Document located utilities with field markings, photos, maps, job summary reporting, and KMZ/PDF mapping when requested or included in scope.
Ground Fault Locating
Help trace and isolate certain underground wire faults or damaged conductors when site conditions allow.

Utility Locating
In North Carolina and South Carolina, 811 is an important first step before excavation. But 811 generally notifies public utility providers to mark their own public facilities. It may not identify private, customer-owned, abandoned, unknown, or site-installed utilities beyond the public utility scope.
